Student Etiquette
Bow when entering and leaving the classroom area — even if class is not in session. This is the martial arts handshake.
Address all instructors as “Sir” or “Ma’am” and by their proper title and last name at all times, on and off the mat.
If you arrive late, stand at the edge of the floor with your right hand raised. Wait for the instructor's permission before joining class.
No cell phones on the mat. The school is a no-phone zone during classes. Step outside for any calls.
A clean, pressed uniform is mandatory. Students with a dirty or wrinkled uniform may not be permitted to attend class.
No free sparring without full safety equipment and direct instructor supervision — no exceptions.
No jewellery in class. Flat wedding bands and fitness trackers are the only exceptions.
Any concerns or complaints must be raised privately and directly with your instructor — never in front of other students.
No student may instruct or correct another student without direct and specific permission from the supervising instructor, regardless of rank.
There will be no smoking, vaping, tobacco or alcohol on school premises or while wearing a uniform at any time.
No profanity on the school premises or at any WarinHari / NMAA function or class.
Attending another martial arts school or function requires permission from your instructor before signing up or making travel arrangements.
